25 Random Things About Me:

1. I have six cats: Hercules, Xena, Isis, Horus, Osiris and Socrates
2. I have a weird, twisty (and sometimes dirty) sense of humor.
3. My favorite color is green. That doesn’t explain why the background on my blog is purple, but, oh well.
4. I’m a freelance writer and photographer.
5. I’m considering opening up an Etsy store to sell prints of the pictures I’ve taken of my cats. (My favorite subject.)
6. I saw a Porsche once when I was driving down Route 8. I almost drove off the road because I was too busy staring at it.
7. My dad owns a 1959 Thunderbird that I’ve laid claim to. (Even though I won’t be able to drive it because it doesn’t have power steering.)
8. Someday I hope to own an antique Volkswagon beetle. Or two.
9. My favorite food is chicken. I can eat it three meals a day for the rest of my life and would never get sick of it.
10. I love sci fi movies, but not sci fi books. In fact, the only books in the sci fi/fantasy category that I’ve ever been able to get through are The Hobbit and The Lord of Rings trilogy.
11. If I’m not writing, I’m reading. And vice versa.
12. I’m WAY too organized for my own good. Except for my desk area, which is a disaster.
13. My husband makes fun of me because I organize my coupons by category, and then by expiration date within those categories.
14. Do you need me to mention that I worked in a library in high school and can alphabetize books in my sleep?
15. I don’t really watch much TV, but I do like Bones, How I Met Your Mother, Project Runway, CSI, and repeats of the X-Files.
16. When I was in college, I used to hold weekly X-Files viewing parties.
17. I’m a bit of a nerd; can’t you tell?
18. I have about 30 board games. That number includes 5 different versions of Monopoly (original, Star Wars: Episode One, Cat-opoly, Cleveland in a Box, and Harley-Davidson), a Star Wars game older than I am (Escape from the Death Star!), and two versions of Risk.
19. My husband won’t play Scrabble with me, because I beat him every time.
20. Which is fine, because I won’t play Battleship with him. He cheated last time, and took a picture of my game board with his cell phone when I wasn’t looking.
21. I am addicted to Post It Notes. I have a drawer full of them. It’s sad really.
22. I’ve been to about 30+ concerts (counting only major acts) in my lifetime thus far. Some of the highlights include Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Disturbed, Kid Rock, and AC/DC.
23. I love technology. I have to have the most up-to-date phone full of apps.
24. I went from an LG Dare (killed three of them in a year and a half) to a Samsung Omnia 2 (it sucked) to a Droid X. I loved it, but didn’t love my carrier. Now I’m on an old-school non-contract flip phone. Awesome?
25. I’m a PC. Not a mac. (I refuse to drink whatever kool-aid Steve Jobs is handing out. Sorry.)
